Jamaican high school students interested in studying in the United States will have an opportunity to explore their options at the U.S. Embassy’s College Fair, to be held October 20-21, 2015.

The College Fair is organized by the Embassy’s Public Affairs Section in partnership with The Hillel Academy and the American International School in Kingston (AISK). The event will serve to provide accurate, comprehensive and timely information about college opportunities in the United States.

Representatives from over 47 colleges including, Princeton, Yale and Colombia Universities will participate. Counselor for Public Affairs, Joshua Polacheck says the “U.S. Embassy is happy to partner with Hillel Academy and AISK in providing a unique experience for Jamaicans who wish to study in the United States but who have limited knowledge about the diversity of the programs offered at these institutions.”  In addition to student consultations, there will be workshops specifically designed to provide information on scholarship opportunities, the student visa application process and international financial aid.
