Jamaican high school students interested in studying in the United States will have an opportunity to explore their options at the U.S. Embassy’s annual College Fair this year. The Embassy of the United States of America in partnership with the American International School in Kingston and Hillel Academy will jointly host College Fair 2016 at the Spanish Court Hotel, on Tuesday, November 1 and Wednesday, November 2, from 12:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. respectively.
This event is FREE to the public! This year, we are proud to announce that approximately 32 American colleges, universities and educational institutions will be joining us to share information about their institutions and opportunities available to Jamaican students. The representatives will be ready to answer questions on college admission information, financial aid guidance, scholarship tips for undergraduate degrees and athletic scholarships. The U.S. Embassy’s College Fair has been a long standing activity, supported by the Embassy’s Education USA student advising center.
EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 400 international student advising centers in more than 170 countries. The network promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States. EducationUSA also provides services to the U.S. higher education community to help institutional leaders meet their recruitment and campus internationalization goals. EducationUSA centers are located in U.S. embassies and consulates, Fulbright commissions, bi-national centers, universities, and non-profit organizations.
Members of the media are invited to provide coverage of the event.
