International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Section

The International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Section in the U.S. Embassy develops and administers programs to support Jamaica law enforcement, prosecutors and criminal courts in combating organized crime, money laundering and financial crime, narcotics and firearms trafficking, and corruption.  The INL Section also advises the Ambassador and the U.S. Department of State on counter-narcotics, law enforcement and justice reform policy in Jamaica. INL receives its authority from the Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, and funding through the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI). The INL Section has been a continuous part of the Mission’s efforts in Jamaica since 1987.  The Government of Jamaica agencies and offices supported by INL include:

International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Section Hours:

  • Monday – Friday 7:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • The American Embassy is closed on all Jamaican and U.S. holidays.
