Jamaica bids farewell to USAID Mission Director

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has worked with the Government and people of Jamaica since 1953 to:
• Promote greater transparency and good governance practices;
• Foster Jamaican participation in regional security; strengthening
basic education;
• Reduce the prevalence of HIV/AIDS;
• Promote economic prosperity; and
• Decrease vulnerability to climate change

USAID’s many successes would not have been possible without the support and dedication of our Jamaican partners. To demonstrate its appreciation, USAID/Jamaica hosted a reception on June 20, for implementing partners who collaborated with the Mission over the last 4 years. The event also allowed guests to bid farewell to USAID Mission Director, Denise Herbol, who is now approaching the end of her 4-year tour of duty on the island.

We sincerely wish Denise well on her upcoming tour in Pakistan and thank her for her tireless effort in leading USAID/Jamaica.
