On July 3, 2017 the United States Agency for International Development in Jamaica (USAID/Jamaica) and Jamaica’s Ministry of Education Youth and Information (MOYEI) signed an Implementation Letter through a Government to Government (G2G) assistance for a Partnership for Improved Safety and Security in Schools. The activity is a two-year effort, with estimated CBSI funding of $3 million. The Government of Jamaica (GOJ), through the MOEYI, will commit $1 million to the implementation of this CBSI Activity through a counterpart contribution in cash or kind.

Speaking at the event, MS Barry Boyle said “education has always been important to USAID and we are happy to be able to once again partner with the Ministry of Education.”
