Peace Corps Jamaica recently confirmed a diverse group of 29 Volunteers at their Swearing-in Ceremony held in Kingston. The Volunteers will serve for two years in the fields of Education and Environment.
The volunteers are American citizens, who come from various parts of the United States and reflect America’s great diversity. The Volunteers successfully completed an intensive training to learn the Jamaican language and culture to prepare them for their work in country.
Guests in attendance included: U.S. Embassy officials, government representatives, current and former Peace Corps Volunteers, families who hosted Peace Corps volunteers in their homes, and international and local program partners.
