Robeson American Center Mission, Policies and Hours
The Robeson American Center (RAC) of the U.S. Embassy is an American Space which serves to build bridges between the people of the United States and Jamaica by increasing mutual understanding, collaboration and partnership.
American Spaces reflect the qualities of openness and accessibility that are associated with American ideals. They are well positioned to deliver compelling programming designed to attract and engage specific audiences in conversations and activities tied to broad U.S. foreign policy interests as well as to country-specific objectives.
The Robeson American Center does four (4) core programs in Jamaica: 1) EducationUSA advising, 2)cultural programs, 3) alumni engagement and 4) provides resources and information about U.S. foreign policy, history, and culture. The Paul Robeson IRC houses a vast collection of books and journals on U.S. Foreign Policy, U.S. History, Political Science, African American History, Literature, General Business and other Social Science and Humanities fields. It is also well equipped with several desktop computers with broadband internet access.
