2016 MLKJ winner – Oshnel Bryan

Congratulations to 2016 Martin Luther King Junior (‎MLKJ) essay winner, Oshnel Bryan – fifth form student at Kingston College.

In celebration of Black History Month February 2016, the Public Affairs Section at U.S. Embassy Kingston held a Facebook essay competition inviting fans to submit papers inspired by the Martin Luther King Junior quote: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” along with aspects of the Jamaican Charter of Rights. From the entries received, Oshnel Bryan came out as the winner and was awarded an iPad on Friday, March 18th at our marque cultural event, Blues on the Green. This competition served to promote one of the U.S. Government’s overarching goals, which is to embolden responsible and democratic governance.

U.S. Embassy Kingston thanks all who submitted entries for the competition.
