Secretary John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden attended the recently concluded U.S.-Caribbean-Central American Energy Summit in Washington, D.C., May 3-4, 2016. The Summit, which saw heads of government, energy ministers, representatives from multilateral development banks, the private sector, and other international partners gathered together to discuss the work of the U.S.-Caribbean-Central American Energy Security Task Force, launched by President Obama with regional leaders in April 2015. The aim is to advance energy security, enhance regional energy cooperation, support clean energy integration, and promote donor coordination.
