The U.S. Foreign Commercial Service does not have a branch office at the U.S. Embassy in Kingston. The regional office is based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Information, especially regarding U.S. commercial relations in the Caribbean and Latin America, is available from the U.S. Department of Commerce Latin America page. The Economic Section in Embassy Kingston provides limited commercial service to U.S. businesses and investors.
The USFCS exists in order to assist U.S. exporters and investors in international markets. For example, our office can provide U.S. business visitors with detailed studies of growth industries here, Flexible Market Research, Consulting Services, advocacy and a variety of Business Facilitation Services designed to assist the U.S. firm wanting to do business internationally.
The USFCS periodically hosts U.S. Department of Commerce-sponsored and State-sponsored trade missions or trade promotion events to introduce appropriate products and services to the local market.
